Green Lipped Mussel Powder is particularly rich in amino acids also present in the natural synovial joint fluid. New Zealand Green Lipped Mussels contain glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) as well as high levels of unsaturated fatty acids. Animals are often not capable of producing the required quantities of GAGs on their own, and so the supplementation of GAGs provides long-term benefits to support joints and tendons.

Green Lipped Mussels also contain a fatty acid called ETA, which decreases the production of cyclooxygenase, an enzyme causing inflammation. This results in less pain, less inflammation, and improved mobility for your pet.

The mussels are also a rich source of glucosamine and chondroitin, vitamins C and E, antioxidants, and minerals such as copper, zinc, and selenium, all of which are vital to your pet’s joint health.

Our green-lipped product is suitable for both dogs and cats in all variations. However, due to the feeding quantity, we recommend purchasing smaller package sizes of green-lipped mussel powder for cats and smaller dogs.

Green-lipped mussel powder (3.3% glycosaminoglycans, 3.2% omega-3 fatty acids, 0.63% omega-6 fatty acids)

Feeding recommendation
Dogs per 10 kg: 0.5 g daily
Cats: 0.5 g daily
(1 scoop corresponds to 2 g)
If needed, the recommended amount can be increased to double. To acclimatise, start with 50% of the daily dose for 3 - 5 days. The powder can be easily mixed with the food.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry, and light-protected place. Delivery includes a practical dosing spoon.
