Orozyme Dental Gel is designed to support the dental and oral health of pets, especially for use between Emmi-Pet cleaning sessions. Dental plaque is formed from bacterial by-products, leading to bad breath, tartar, and gingivitis. If left untreated, it can cause gum recession and premature tooth loss.

The gel features a peroxidase system – a saliva enzyme complex – that helps maintain the natural balance of microorganisms in the mouth. Since the effectiveness of this system depends on saliva production, which is influenced by the pet’s general health, diet, and age, it is beneficial to use Orozyme alongside regular tooth cleaning. Orozyme also contains a surfactant that ensures sufficient contact with teeth and gums. The enzyme complex penetrates plaque and disrupts bacterial growth, supporting the breakdown of existing plaque and preventing new build-up. In addition, the gel contains mild polishing agents that help mechanically remove plaque with the aid of the pet’s saliva and tongue.

For dogs, the gel is applied directly into the mouth. For cats, it can be applied directly into the mouth or onto the paw for the cat to lick off. Use once daily: small dogs and cats – 1 cm of gel, dogs under 20 kg – 2 cm of gel, dogs over 20 kg – 5 cm of gel. The package includes an applicator to make administration easier for small dogs. No additional brushing is necessary, though a veterinarian should treat any existing dental issues before starting use.
