Recommended use: 4 weeks together with a carbohydrate source (cooked potato or rice). If symptoms disappear, add Trovet Balance vitamin and mineral supplement to the daily ration. For critically ill, growing, pregnant (late term), or lactating animals, supplement from the start. Can be fed lifelong with carbohydrate and vitamin/mineral supplementation or transitioned to a Trovet Hypoallergenic diet with the same protein source.
Daily feeding guide for dogs (per kg body weight):
Under 10 kg: 35 g UPH + 55 g potato or 35 g rice
10–30 kg: 25 g UPH + 40 g potato or 25 g rice
Over 30 kg: 20 g UPH + 35 g potato or 20 g rice
Daily feeding guide for cats (per kg body weight):
Under 3 kg: 60 g UPH + 20 g potato or 10 g rice
Over 3 kg: 45 g UPH + 15 g potato or 10 g rice
Puppies:
25–75% of adult weight: 2 × UPH feeding guide + 1.4 × potato/rice
75–100% of adult weight: 1.5 × UPH feeding guide + 1.2 × potato/rice
Kittens:
25–75% of adult weight: 2 × feeding guide
75–100% of adult weight: 1.5 × feeding guide
(1 g cooked rice = 0.4 g uncooked rice)
