This botanical powder also contributes to healthy digestion by helping reduce gas, balancing gut pH, and supporting gut flora. It may also help relieve heartburn. Turmeric works synergistically with ginger, licorice root, and fenugreek seeds. For improved absorption, it is recommended to mix turmeric with a small amount of oil (such as chia or hemp) and a pinch of black pepper. Piperine in black pepper and quercetin from apple peel are known to enhance curcumin’s bioavailability.
