Temperature-sensing microchip for pets, designed to measure subcutaneous body temperature where the chip is located. Helps track temperature fluctuations conveniently without stressing the animal. Each chip has a unique 15-digit identification number.
The chip is manufactured in compliance with ISO standards 11784, 11875, 11135 and 11607 (Animal Identification, sterilisation of Medical Devices). The injector includes a 12-gauge lubricated needle (diameter 2.1 mm, length 13 mm).
Usage instructions
The pet’s normal body temperature varies depending on time of day, stress level, health status, age and activity. Measurements from different body locations should not be directly compared.
Before implantation:
1. Scan the animal thoroughly to ensure it has not already been microchipped.
2. Scan the chip before opening the package to confirm the number matches the barcode.
3. Remove the injector from the package, take off the needle cover and safety lock.
4. Ensure the plunger is facing towards you.
5. Disinfect the implantation site.
Implantation:
Inject subcutaneously on the left side of the neck or between the shoulder blades.
6. Lift the skin between your thumb and fingers and insert the needle under the skin.
7. Once the needle is fully under the skin, press the plunger until you hear a “CLICK.”
8. Pinch the skin around the needle while withdrawing it.
After implantation:
9. Replace the needle cover, remove the needle from the injector and dispose of it safely according to waste regulations.
10. Scan the animal to confirm the chip is under the skin and not among the hair.
Inform the owner that the implantation site may remain tender for a short period.
