The German Shepherd is an active dog with a beautiful medium-length coat. When German Shepherds reach the age of 5, their first phase of aging slowly begins. Then their nutritional needs also change. ROYAL CANIN® German Shepherd Adult 5+ has been developed to support German Shepherds during their first phase of aging. The feed contains a combination of antioxidants (including vitamins C and E) to protect the cells in the body. The dry food contains a limited amount of phosphorus to support the kidneys. German Shepherds generally have a sensitive digestion. ROYAL CANIN® German Shepherd Adult 5+ supports sensitive digestion. The feed contains very easily digestible proteins (L.I.P.) and a selection of specific dietary fibers, including prebiotics, to promote a balanced intestinal flora, maintain healthy digestion and contribute to optimal stool quality. As German Shepherds get older, it is very important that they get the nutrients they need to support bones and joints. ROYAL CANIN® German Shepherd Adult 5+ contains specific nutrients, including collagen and the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, to support cartilage as it ages and contribute to joint health. The bite form of the dry food stimulates the dog to chew. Should your dog find it difficult to chew, the food can easily be soaked in warm water.
