One product, many benefits

The high levels of omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil in Nutrolin® HORSE Sport, combined with vitamin E, support the body's normal functions. They protect the horse during strenuous exercise and promote recovery. Added lecithin supports digestive tract function.

Support for breeding horses and foals

Nutrolin® HORSE Sport contains a high level of DHA, an omega-3 fatty acid that plays an important role in fertility. The product is therefore well suited to supporting mares' fertility, foal development and the semen quality of breeding stallions.

Directions for use and storage:

Add the tasty oil to the feed daily. Storage in a cool place is recommended. Use an opened pouch within six weeks. The oil is packaged in two 1,500 ml pouches to extend its usable life. The product is suitable for horses of all ages.

Nutrolin® HORSE Sport contains lecithin

Lecithin is rich in phosphocholine, which supports the health and function of the digestive tract. Nutritional oil containing phosphocholine mixes with the stomach contents more effectively than ordinary oils. Phosphocholine breaks the oil into small fat droplets using self-emulsifying oil technology. Thanks to its high omega-3 EPA and DHA content and phosphocholine, Nutrolin® HORSE Sport oil helps calm the horse's intestinal system.

Physical exertion places stress on tissues

The bodies of hard-working horses are placed under considerable strain. Strenuous physical activity stresses the muscles, tendons and joints. This strain causes oxidative stress and inflammation in the tissues, which the horse experiences as pain. Oxidative stress is a condition in which there is an imbalance between factors that oxidise cells and those that protect them from oxidation. Oxidative stress damages cells.

Use proactively

To obtain the full benefits of Nutrolin® HORSE Sport, start giving it to your horse a couple of months before the active season begins. Replenishing the muscles' antioxidant and fatty acid reserves takes time. Continue using the nutritional oil until the next rest period.

Natural vitamin E + the right omega fatty acids = the most effective possible protection

Nutrolin® HORSE Sport is a unique combination product that helps the body of a sport or competition horse withstand strenuous exercise. At the same time, it speeds up recovery after exertion. In other words, Nutrolin® HORSE Sport is an important part of the care routine for a highly active horse. The oil is rich in antioxidants and natural vitamin E. These protect cells against oxidative stress caused by physical exertion. The need for vitamin E increases as the level of exertion rises.

A 500 kg horse receives 1,500 mg of natural vitamin E from Nutrolin® HORSE Sport. The omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA from fish oil help the body repair tissue damage caused by exertion, thereby accelerating recovery.

Learn to recognise different forms of vitamin E

Vitamin E is available in both synthetic and natural forms. Natural vitamin E is 1.6 times more effective than synthetic vitamin E. Nutrolin® products use natural vitamin E, known as d-alpha-tocopherol, the term used on our packaging, or RRR-alpha-tocopherol. Synthetic vitamin E is dl-alpha-tocopherol, also known as all-rac-alpha-tocopherol.

*The fish oil used in Nutrolin® products is produced from fish caught in the clean waters of the Pacific coast of South America. The catch consists mainly of fish from the Engraulidae family (e.g. Peruvian anchovy), but also includes species from the Carangidae, Clupeidae, Osmeridae, Scombridae and Ammodytidae families. The omega-3 content of oil from individual fish species varies according to season and growing conditions. Therefore, several fish species are used in the production process to ensure consistent EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acid levels in every batch.

Store the opened package in a cool place at +4 to +18°C. It keeps best in the refrigerator, where the opened product has a shelf life of 3 months. The shelf life becomes shorter as the temperature rises. At room temperature, for example, the shelf life is 3 weeks.

Recycle the cardboard packaging with cardboard and dispose of the oil pouches as mixed waste.
