Why these nutrients matter for senior dogs

Omega-3 DHA supports brain and eye function in senior dogs, while EPA helps protect the body against age-related changes and supports healthy ageing.

Vitamin D supports normal immune system function. It also helps maintain healthy teeth, bones, and muscles. Although commercial dog foods are fortified with vitamin D, this sensitive vitamin gradually degrades during storage. In oil, vitamin D remains stable and well preserved.

Lecithin is rich in phosphatidylcholine, which supports digestive health and gastrointestinal function. Oils containing phosphatidylcholine mix more effectively with stomach contents. Through a self-emulsifying oil technology, phosphatidylcholine breaks the oil into tiny fat droplets, making it easier to digest and absorb. As a result, the oil is gentler on dogs prone to acid reflux or digestive discomfort than conventional oils. Since many senior dogs have sensitive stomachs, this is an important benefit.

*The fish oil used in Nutrolin® products is produced from fish sustainably caught in the clean waters of the South Pacific off the coast of South America. The catch consists primarily of fish from the Engraulidae family (such as Peruvian anchovy), with additional species from the Carangidae, Clupeidae, Osmeridae, Scombridae, and Ammodytidae families. Since the omega-3 content of oil from individual fish species varies with season and growing conditions, using several fish species ensures that every production batch contains a consistent level of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA.
