Control solution for the new AlphaTRAK3 blood glucose meter.

With the control solution, you can:

Practice testing without the animal’s blood

Ensure that the meter and test strips work correctly together

Verify the accuracy of the results

The control solution results are accurate only between 4 - 40 °C (39 - 104 °F).

Store the control solution in a dry place between 4 - 30 °C (39 - 86 °F).

Do not add water or any other liquid to the control solution.

Usage

Check the expiration date of the control solution (printed on the bottle).

Remove the test strip from the package.

Insert the test strip into the meter to turn it on.

Note: The meter will automatically turn off if unused for 2 minutes. Remove the unused test strip and reinsert it to turn the meter on again.

Confirm the system’s verification screen.

Enter the correct species code.

Start testing with the control solution.

Press and hold the “c” button for 3 seconds until the control solution bottle icon appears on the screen.

Apply the control solution to the test strip sample area until you hear a beep and a vertical line appears on the display. The meter will start counting down (3, 2, 1), indicating the test strip has enough sample and the meter is performing the control solution test. If the vertical line does not appear within 5 seconds, the sample amount may be too small.

Result Check

Compare the control solution result with the test area printed on the test strip vial. The result should be within this range.

Note: The control solution test results correlate with the species code. Selecting a different species will result in different readings.

Remove the test strip to turn off the meter."
