This is a balanced and hypoallergenic treat designed for long-term use. It is especially suitable for dogs with food hypersensitivity, food allergies, chronic nephritis, or chronic kidney disease.
The treat is formulated with a single hydrolyzed fish protein and a single carbohydrate source—rice—which helps prevent both immune-related and non-immune-related reactions such as skin irritation, vomiting, or diarrhea. Hydrolyzation reduces the size of protein molecules, significantly lowering the risk of allergic responses.
The reduced phosphorus content helps slow the progression of kidney failure, and the lowered protein levels reduce strain on the kidneys. Rice is included as a highly digestible source of carbohydrates.
