This is a balanced treat designed to support adult dogs with specific health issues. It is particularly suitable for dogs suffering from urolithiasis caused by struvite stones, kidney problems, heart disorders, and gastrointestinal issues.
The snack is hypoallergenic, based on one protein source—lamb—and one carbohydrate source—rice. Both ingredients are rarely linked to allergic reactions. The formula has a reduced magnesium content to help lower urine pH to 6.0–6.4, supporting the reduction of struvite-related urinary problems. It also features a reduced phosphorus level to slow the progression of kidney disease and a lower protein content that is easier on the kidneys. The reduced sodium and higher potassium-to-sodium ratio support both kidney and heart function.
This treat is not recommended for puppies, dogs with urinary issues unrelated to struvite stones, or dogs with hypersensitivity to lamb protein.
Trovet Multi Purpose (Sheep) Functional Treats are intended for use over a period of 6 months to assist with kidney function, heart health, and to minimize the recurrence of struvite stones. They can be given alongside specific Trovet diets such as Urinary Struvite, Renal & Oxalate (excluding use for oxalate prevention), Hypoallergenic (Sheep), Intestinal, Dental or Dental Mini, Mobility & Geriatrics, and Adult.
