Biotin Forte Powder – Dosage and Usage Guidelines
Biotin Forte powder is formulated for larger animals and should be dosed carefully based on species and body weight. A level measuring spoon equals 8 grams.
Daily Dosage Recommendations:
Horses: 2 measuring spoons (16 g) per day
Cows: 1½–2 measuring spoons (12–16 g) per day
Calves: ½ measuring spoon (4 g) per day
Meat pigs: ½ measuring spoon (4 g) per day
Sows: ½ measuring spoon (4 g) per day
Dogs (~20 kg): 1/5 measuring spoon (approx. 1.6 g) per day
For hoof problems, the product should be given consistently for 4–6 months. For skin and coat issues, a course of 4–6 weeks is recommended.
Important Note: Biotin Forte powder contains significantly more zinc than the tablet form. Because of the risk of zinc overdose, the powder is not recommended for small animals. Instead, Biotin Forte tablets are advised for dogs and other small pets.
