To support kidney function in cases of chronic renal insufficiency and to reduce the formation of oxalate stones. Kattovit Feline Diet - NIERE/RENAL was specially developed to provide cats with a reduced protein content by using high-quality protein in an easily digestible composition. High protein contents can have a damaging effect on the kidneys. The decisive factor here is the protein content in relation to the amount of energy. In Kattovit NIERE/RENAL, in contrast to conventional food, only about half of the energy is provided by protein. The enrichment with potassium citrate has an alkalizing effect on the urine and can thus prevent the formation of oxalate crystals (oxalate prophylaxis). The phosphorus and sodium contents are reduced.
