Nutrolin® HORSE Skin & Coat is the result of extensive product development. It is a patented vegetable oil product with a unique composition that supports the well-being of the skin and coat.

Patented composition

Nutrolin® Horse Skin & Coat is a unique, patented nutritional oil for horses. It is rich in linoleic acid, an essential omega-6 fatty acid for healthy skin and coat. Nutrolin® Horse Skin & Coat also contains omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids that enhance linoleic acid metabolism (GLA and SDA), as well as a high level of natural vitamin E, but no fish oil. We developed this nutritional oil to care for the skin and coat of horses of all types.

Essential fatty acids reach the skin

Excessive skin dryness is often the underlying cause of skin problems in horses. Dry skin becomes flaky, and the quality of the coat deteriorates. Dry skin is also susceptible to allergens that trigger hypersensitivity reactions and to bacterial infections. The Nutrolin® Horse Skin & Coat vegetable oil blend, which is rich in essential fatty acids, supports the formation of the skin's natural protective mechanism, the permeability barrier. A well-functioning permeability barrier maintains the skin's moisture balance and alleviates skin problems caused by dryness. Fish oil and salmon oil do not have this effect.

Learn to recognise different forms of vitamin E

Vitamin E is available in both synthetic and natural forms. Natural vitamin E is 1.5 times more effective than synthetic vitamin E. Nutrolin® products use natural vitamin E, known as d-alpha-tocopherol, the term used on our packaging, or RRR-alpha-tocopherol. Synthetic vitamin E is dl-alpha-tocopherol, also known as all-rac-alpha-tocopherol.

Directions for use and storage:

Add the tasty oil to the feed once daily. Storage in a cool place is recommended. Use within three months of opening. The product is suitable for horses of all ages.
