Protecting the horse's sensitive stomach.
Why Use Gastro?
Gastro is a supplement that protects the horse’s stomach lining and mucous membranes.
It contains lecithin, a natural component in horses, which forms a protective gel barrier in the stomach, shielding it from gastric acid damage.
Gastro acts as a stomach balm for horses prone to gastric ulcers or digestive sensitivity.
How Does Gastro Work?
Lecithin is a naturally occurring compound in the horse’s stomach.
When exposed to gastric acid, it breaks down into phospholipids, which:
Strengthen cell membranes
Protect and repair the stomach lining
Gastric Acid & Stomach Sensitivity
Horses continuously produce gastric acid, even when they are not eating.
Without enough fiber in the stomach, this acid can cause damage to the sensitive stomach lining.
Some horses still develop stomach ulcers even with a high-fiber diet and frequent feedings.
