"Acana Dog Light & Fit Heritage is rich in lean proteins, low in carbohydrates, and grain-free. It is well-suited for adult and senior dogs (over 1 year old) of all breeds and sizes that are overweight or tend to gain weight.

A dog carrying a few extra pounds will benefit from a protein-rich diet. To maintain muscle mass without creating unnecessary body fat, Acana Light & Fit contains plenty of meat and few carbohydrates. The food is rich in free-range Cobb chicken and whole eggs from local prairie farms, wild-caught flounder from Vancouver Island—delivered fresh for unmatched taste and nutrition.

Unlike conventional "light" diets, Acana Light & Fit contains few carbohydrates and is completely grain-free. To promote healthy blood sugar levels, the food is free from high-glycemic ingredients like rice, grains, and potatoes. Instead, it includes fresh, low-glycemic fruits and vegetables, including pumpkin and squash."
