Islameer is Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed from the cold waters of Iceland, which contains amino acids (protein building blocks), vitamins and minerals in their natural form. Seaweed is also an excellent source of iodine.

Iodine promotes the normal function of thyroid hormones, which regulates metabolism. Seaweed is therefore perfectly suited for raw-feeding dogs, for example to supplement their intake of iodine and other nutrients.
