Why B vitamins?
B vitamins play an important role and are crucial for several of the body's functions. Among other things they are included in energy and protein metabolism, the nervous system, skin and fur and the formation of red blood cells. As B vitamins work in several places in the body, the content of the various B vitamins is crucial, all are active in different processes.
Horses that train or compete may have an increased need for B vitamins in periods.
If the horse has suffered from an imbalance in the intestinal flora or if it has been on medication, it may have a reduced self-production of vitamins and may need supplements to cover its basic needs.
B vitamin deficiency?
A lack of B vitamins can be expressed with several rather diffuse symptoms, but the most obvious are that the horse becomes listless, has a poor appetite and problems with the skin and fur.
Which horses can eat B-Vitamin?
Trikem's B-Vitamin can be given to all horse categories and ages. Suitable as a daily supplement or as an extra supplement during periods of harder training, competition, illness or shedding.
Also available in pelleted form.
