Properties

L-carnitine is an important amino acid for maintaining physical performance and recovery after exercise. It enhances the body’s fat metabolism and lung function. L-carnitine is also an important amino acid for maintaining heart function, and additional supplementation has been used for years in the treatment of certain heart diseases found in dogs. L-carnitine has also been found to strengthen the body’s immune system.

Methionine is one of the amino acids essential for the formation of a healthy coat. It provides sulfur for tissue utilization and ensures the necessary building materials for the renewal of fur, nails, and hooves. Selenium-containing enzymes act as antioxidants in the body, protecting cells from oxidation reactions. Studies have also shown that selenium + vitamin E can enhance immune response in growing dogs.
